Favorite Things:
wow, favorite things…
just a few of my favorite things…
i think the best thing about this architalk is that it is really so positive, i mean while we are despairing about our careers: the project or the money or the powers that be, we can really not bring ourselves down about favorite things, can we?  


camping in joshua tree with family and friends
writing and drawing in sketchbooks with pens
architecture that inspires and music that swings
these are a few of my favorite things


christmas away and the holiday lights
meeting for coffee, a drink, and late nights
museums with art and castles of kings
these are a few of my favorite things

traveling to places that nobody goes
paintings and  photographs and sculptures we know
last minute deadlines and all that it brings
these are a few of my favorite things
when the plans suck, when the bills come,
when i’m feeling sad (because a colleague has a car, house, etc that i never really wanted anyway)
i simply remember
my favorite things
and then i don’t feel so bad!!!
