I first met Christian Nielsen-Palacios virtually on EntreArchitect during covid which of course you only see Jeff Echols and Katherine McPhail and the guests, so we never really saw each other til we started doing zooms because it was during Covid! But the first time that we were able to get out and travel, we headed for the mountains of Vermont for a conference, the first EA conference was E
"Echolstock" so named for Jeff Echols
And thought there only 20 or so of us there, it was a great trip and we were able to mee IRL, and Christian brought his sister, who is also an architect, Margarita Palacios and also a very accomplished artist.
As well as being a friend and architect, Christian has also sponsored several podcasts and I am very grateful for his generosity.

The episode, titled “How I Became The Grouchy Architect”, provides valuable insights into his career and philosophy.
His Master's thesis at Cornell University focused on the evolution of architectural education, particularly Cornell University's shift from Beaux-Arts to Modernism between 1928 and 1950. This research underscores his deep interest in the historical context of architectural practices.
