#openingup #ECHOLSTOCK EntreArchitect C&C 2: Interview w/ Ann Sussman, RA

Ann Sussman, R.A.

Hi!  In lieu of writing a blog for this because I have been immersed in plan check corrections, proposals and getting a new podcast channel to upload all of my previous interviews, I have posted the link to Ann Sussman's, who is the owner of "The Genetics of Design" which will give you plenty of reading material and insight.

Many people have become IRATE at the idea that the post-war modernists could have done us wrong by "defacing" the traditional building of it's appealing caricature.  I would like to think of it more in terms of human scale and composition, where do I enter the building? which should be a rather common goal of architecture has perchance become a secondary one. Think of public buildings where the entrance has been moved to another side or trying to enter a building when you have entered with a car through the parking garage and then cannot find your way to a hospital emergency room. These are major considerations when we as architects need to design spaces for people, who are the users or are our clients.  So give it a read and let me know in the comments below and I will be adding more in the next few weeks.

Thank you
