I met Cecilia Ramos in real life when I was invited to the Lutron Ketra Experience in Scottsdale, Arizona. I got licensed in Arizona a couple o years go and David Weinstein, who s the VP of Residential Sales for Lutron Ketra, whom I met about 5 years ago now, thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to know the Lutron Ketra team in Scottsdale so that I could take clients to experience the Ketra Lighting Lab at the showroom. I have to say that it is awesome, and it is also used at Taliesin West presently.
The quality of the light is amazing as one can set it to mimic the light outside no matter where you are, so if it is afternoon and you want the light inside of your home to be like it is outside, you can do that. And in fact, and Lutron Ketra and can correct me if I am wrong... but if it's a cloudy day in sunny southern California, you can adjust the lighting in your house to be the same as it would be if it was a bright sunny day! Isn't that amazing? And the quality of the light, whether it be of a blue or a yellow light, cool or warm, high Kelvin or low Kelvin temperature (it can be a different feel or comfort level for everyone!) The quality of the lighting experience can be changed to reflect that as what is in the video above.
The amazing thing with light is that the quality of light can change from region to region, and age to age. I have been in a dining room with younger clients who seem to think that the light over their dining table was sufficient for them and their kids, where I could barely read the drawings because I perceived the room as being very dark. And also what is interesting is that we can do a project for someone and they have showed inspo images to us and we try and recreate that and they will try and go back to the way things were originally, they want to stay in their comfort zone, even if their comfort zone really isn't what they wanted! So, if you want a room that is brighter, don't choose the same dark paint and tile that you had in the previous space because it will not look much different, it will just be bigger.
STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE!!!!!!! for everything!!!
